16. Samba De Amigo

A monkey with maracas! Cheerful fun Latin music! Samba De Amigo (released in 2000 for the Sega Dreamcast) is perky and energetic; it made you want to get up and dance around your living room long before the Wii came around. Playing this game feels like you’re on psychedelic drugs. It came with two maracas that you use to coordinate the main character. Each maraca is connected to a bar at the player’s feet, and the bar utilizes sensors to triangulate where the maracas locations. To cut a long explanation short: you look pretty goofy playing this game. To add insult to injury, it features Latin music but no Samba and a few non-Latin songs just for kicks!
