The world of video games is full of creativity. Back in the 1980s when graphics were limited, both developers and players were forced to use innovative gameplay mechanics to improve their games. Today, photorealistic graphics can still amaze players, but creators are once again investigating unusual stories and new designs to attract players used to amazing graphics. Over the decades, developers have created some unusual games in an attempt to stand out from the crowd. Some have a bizarre premise, others have head-scratching gameplay, and some just freaky. Check out our list of the 25 weirdest video games ever made.

1. Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker

Michael Jackson had an outsized impact on the world of music with some amazing moves on the dancefloor. Capitalizing on the success of the “Moonwalker” movie in 1988, several video game developers made an arcade video game with the same plot. In this game, Mr. Big has kidnapped several children and taken them to the moon where he has a laser that will destroy the Earth. Well, it is dependent upon Michael Jackson to spare the day by performing cool move moves and synthesized versions of his famous songs that shoot out enchantments and energy rays and defeat adversaries. Weird as it may be, there is no denying that this game is one of the most entertaining I’ve ever played.
