Another one of those products that does exactly what its title suggests, a naming strategy that I heartily applaud. At least this way we can take one look at the item in question and make a snap decision on whether it’s a good idea. The siren ring is an enormous piece of ‘jewelry’ designed to deter potential attackers. Simply twist the top of the ring in an anti-clockwise direction, and the ring will emit a loud, high-pitched alarm. (We recommend that you carry the instruction manual with you at all times because deactivating the alarm requires the wearer to twist the ring 6.5 times in the opposite direction.) The ring is also uncomfortably chunky, which I suppose it needs to be to house such a deafening siren. As with the Smart Bra, the intention was noble, but the design was flawed.
