The Polar M600 is a fitness tracker/smartwatch that should, at £270, be able to do a lot of things very well. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case. The M600 only works with Android phones, which alienates a large proportion of the smartphone market. It’s also a product that just doesn’t quite seem sure of what it’s trying to achieve. Is it a fitness tracker? No. Is it a smart watch? Well yes, kind of, but it’s not a very flexible one. You’re limited to Google’s wearable operating system, which in itself is very limiting, and it’s a bulky piece of kit that can become tiring to wear.
