The 25 Worst Wearables Ever

Skully

Skully / Indiegogo

Skully was an intriguing piece of wearable technology. A motorcycle helmet that incorporated a HUD and a rear-facing camera, we think this might actually have proved useful to motorcyclists across the world had it ever been brought to market. Certainly, the 1,940 backers who raised a combined total of $2,446,824 on Indiegogo to fund the project would agree with us. However, the sad fact of the matter is that even $2.5 million wasn’t enough to fund an overly ambitious attempt to build a very tricky helmet like the cockpit of a fighter jet. Skully declared bankruptcy before shipping a single unit, leaving pledgers in the lurch and seeking compensation.
